2023-2024 TRYOUT FAQ

We strongly encourage all players to attend more than one tryout to ensure that all of our coaches are able to get a thorough look at each players' skill set.

If your son or daughter is unable to attend any/ all of our 2023-2024 tryout dates, please email us at info@route2athletics.org to schedule a private tryout on a mutually agreeable date.

We will notify selected players 3-5 days after the last tryout date to allow our coaching staff to compare player notes and make roster decisions for each team.

An email will be sent to the email(s) provided during tryout registration detailing the offer to join the Route 2 Baseball program, including the team your player has been selected for and the team specific contract details - including tuition cost, off-season start dates, in-season details, etc.

We are planning to field 1-2 teams at each of the following age groups: 11u, 12u, 13u and 14u. We will also be fielding one High School 2027 College Prospect Tournament team, one 2026 College Prospect Tournament team, and one 2025 College Prospect Team Tournament team.

Our 11-14u teams will compete in the Massachusetts New Balance Select League.

Our roster sizes vary by team and age group; we typically have 12-15 players per team across the 11-14u age group. Our High School and College Prospect teams, we allow for expanded rosters - given multiple four game weekends and weeklong tournament schedules, in addition to players taking on 'pitcher only' roles.
